The room was comfortable, the bed was comfortable and there was good air conditioning. The decoration was old fashioned but we liked that. The location is really good: close to the Vatican, close to the river, and there is good shopping nearby. There are great restaurants within a few minutes stroll and they are away from the crowded centre of Rome. You can walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and the Pantheon through some attractive streets. The Vatican is ten minutes at most on foot. The lift was as unreliable as others have commented but it didn't matter to us. The breakfast was better than we anticipated and the view from the dining room is amazing. The room cleaning and preparation was of a high standard every day and the hotel staff we met were friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's quirky and old fashioned layout was strangely appealing. The roof terrace was a bit too expensive and we didn't really use it but it has a nice feel and great views.

Hotel is situated in a great location basically in the center (but despite being very close to the center, it was actually a very quiet location). You can just walk to the Vatican or to the Castel Sant'Angelo and be there in a couple of minutes, which is fantastic. Hotel was very clean and well taken care of. All staff in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful; they even helped us by borrowing us a corkscrew which we didn't have so that we could open our wine bottle. Breakfast was fantastic with an amazing view of the Rome. Beds were super comfortable (mattress is relatively harder, which we enjoyed) and we slept super well. Sleep was also improved by great curtains which can make 9AM look like 2AM. Overall, I think that this hotel offers a great value for the price (we saw similarly priced hotels kilometers from the center), is clear and pretty fancy, we were very happy with our visit and if we ever find ourselves in Rome, we will surely visit again!

The roof top terrace and bar area views were fabulous, 360 degree view over Rome. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful from the reception area, the restaurant staff at breakfast to the cleaning staff . Breakfast was good, the room and all areas of the hotel were kept immaculately. Location was excellent within easy walking distance of St Peter’s Square, Castel San Angelo (well worth a visit) and a footway bridge over the Tiber to other attractions. Huge choice of restaurants nearby and several gelatos.

My stay at the Atlante Star Hotel in Italy was fantastic, with its amazing location just steps from Vatican City. The bed was comfortable, but the real highlight was the rooftop bar. We visited both days and were blown away by the incredible Negronis and exceptional food. I’d definitely stay here again without hesitation! The airport transfer as convenient for us too!

The best location for your stay. I’ve been to Rome several times already, and liked this area the most. The view is amazing and the major sightseeing places are in the walking distance, max 30 min. The room was clean and breakfast had all basic staff, including quite good coffee.
